I wake up every morning thinking and looking for what I can sculpt or draw. Making sculpture is not like having a job, it is really a lifestyle and encompasses the majority of my existence. The look of bronze sculpture has always had a powerful appeal for me, and the tactile attraction in sculpture is as strong in me as it always has been. When bronze is combined with personal images my response to the work deepens. I am mostly interested in the expressive side of image making, and less in pure representation. Simple things fascinate me; shapes, volumes, figurative gesture, and the beautiful and ugly. I have always felt a connection to tragic and beautiful moments in all art forms, its a continuum that keeps me working and never bored.
